Summary | 1349: Problem: Linkin Ports
Description | Dear Racktables-Team, thank you for your big effort and your good Job on Racktables. But I got a minor Problem: I cannot link Ports to Switches which are in another Rack than my Object. I cannot link it even to Switches which are in the nearest Racks. I guess there is even a solution I missed. So Many Thanks Roman
Steps To Reproduce | To Reproduce: Just install a Serverlike-Object in one of your Racks and try to connect it to a Switch or an Object in another Rack.

Hi Ray, To clarify: You are adding a server object in a rack, and configuring available ports on it in the ports tab. You are creating a switch in another rack, and configuring available ports on it in the ports tab. You are clicking on the link button, the switch's ports do not appear? Have you tried to search by object name? You may need to uncheck the "nearest racks" option to expand the search to all your available ports. |
|
After clicking the link button, uncheck the 'Nearest racks' box and (optionally) enter a search terms in the other fields. Clicking the 'show ports' button will repopulate the select list.
