Summary | 1373: Would like to add large librarys better in the rackspace
Description | Currently the only way to add large libraries like an IBM TS3500 is to add a rack then fill the entire rack with the library. I would like to be able to add large libraries as an item similar to a rack. Maybe if user created objects could be set to a type that allows for setting it in a row like a rack, or racks could have the potential of having object types. I'm not sure what the best way to do this is. Thank you.

I understand what you desire. Products such as the library you mentioned as well as large SANs are often sold with racks/enclosures included. Even so, the equipment is still essentially mounted in a rack, so adjusting the program to account for this unique scenario could be considered pedantic. Maybe you or someone else would like to write a patch to support this. |
