Summary | 425: LivePTR: ignore "connected" auto-reserved addresses
Description | by Jens Rosenboom: Okay, let us look at it step by step: 1. Create a new IPv4 prefix 192.0.2.0/24 as connected network. 2. This creates an IP entry for 192.0.2.0 with name "network" and checked "Reserved". The same for 192.0.2.255 with name "broadcast". 3. Go to the LivePTR page for 192.0.2.0/24. Now you get two yellow warnings: "Missing from DB/DNS: 2" Because there are no DNS entries for 192.0.2.0 and 192.0.2.255 and I cannot see why one would create DNS entries for these reserved addresses, either. My feature request would be to include a hack to ignore these two warnings, either as a special case for the two entries automatically created for each connected network, or as a more general solution ignore all DNS entries for "Reserved" addresses.
