Summary429: Can't use SNMP on switches where ifDescr is identical
DescriptionI was trying to add snmp config for PowerConnect switches.
Actual architecture use the fact that all ifDescr are different, which is not the case on powerconnect series.
So new code needs to be written to handle this case.

Is that something you are already working on ? or you don't want to support it ?

I'm thinking that wouldn't be to hard to do it, but it would modify generic code, add new attributes in processors, known_switches, etc

I'm still thinking how to do it.
There is many things list in ifDescr : ports, joint ports and vlan.
I'm trying to find a way to don't have to specify ports number (and add a new attributes).

Support for Dell switches, even those with identical ifNames, has been added to v0.20. Several PowerConnect models are included, please look it over and submit patches for other models if you have some which aren't covered.
