Summary376: support for VM Hypervisor
Descriptionmain part lacking on this fantastic project is the support for Virtual hypervisors like vsphere.

virtual machines need to be repertoried into a "new" type of enclosure constitued of some esx servers.

it's possible to work around as creating a rack linked to the esx servers, but i'm sure that it could be a more elegant solution.

if i can help in designing or something like that (i do not know nothing in web devellopement) i'll be glad to help you.

thank you!

My job here is to integrate an existing contribution by Costin Chiriac.

I submitted an alternate patch to the other RackTables developers for review.

Suggestion: Remove/modify requirement of Asset Tag for Virtual Machines.

I am currently managing Virtual Machines with Racktables v 0.18.5 by creating the Host as a Rack, and adding the Virtual machines as objects. I would like to see the Asset Tag requirement modified or removed for Virtual Machines specifically. I cannot think of another unique identifier to use. Just an suggestion.

Suggestion: "Powered State" field for Virtual Machines.

Currently I have two tags, "VM Powered On" and "VM Powered Off", that I use to attach to Virtual Machines as I create them in the Objects section. I can then easily sort for the ones powered or not powered.

A suggestion is to add this as a field for the Virtual Machine object, then when you actually view the VM Host, you would see next to the Virtual machine the Powered state (on or off), or a green icon/ball for on, or gray icon/ball for off.

Let's assume this part of the work complete. Subsequent improvements/fixes will be tracked separately after the release.
