Well if we are moving toward having container objects and away from a static rack object as per this thread on the mailing list: http://www.freelists.org/post/racktables-users/RoomsFloorsBuildings,5 then I think that this feature request is outdated. |

Two attributes would be S/N or Asset Tag. |

I would like to more easily be able to add custom attributes too. In my case i'd like to be able to add data like what Power Distribution Board and Breaker applies in the rack; The names of customers who appear in the rack; To be able to build in cross-references (HREF's to other applications). Havn't found the means to do any of these without hacking as of yet... |

This feature has been added in version 0.20. Racks are treated like objects in many ways. They have the asset tag field and may have custom attributes. |
