| Summary | 416: Results from search by MAC address are not displayed from Live Ports | ||||
| Description | I have set up Live Ports and it's working correctly, I can see learned MAC addresses on the right pane. However, when I try to search by object's MAC address in Search field up right, results from Live Ports are not displayed, even though MAC address which I am searching for is there. Any ideas when this can be enabled, or any fixes for this? Running 0.19.1. | ||||

This won't be enabled as you described. The case is the Live Port information is not stored in DB by design, but fetched from the device in real-time mode on every request. So to search for MAC the system would query all devices in the network. Also, the specified MAC would likely be learned by many ports (the uplink ports of other switches in L2 domain). The system would not be able to find the initial port the device is connected to. So, if you have no any oppositions I'll close this issue in a few days. |
