Summary515: I can't assign any RS pool on my F5 BIG-IP1600
DescriptionHello.
I have two loadbalancers F5 BIG-IP1600. I added them to racktables , set "network switch" because I found my type of environment there only.
I can's assign any RS pool. I don't see "RC pools" page in "Main page : Objects : F5-LB4" and I can't assign my F5 in "IP4 SLB".
I see environment with type "Server" only.

The SLB functionality in RackTables is intended to document your setup and generate a keepalived.conf file, which does not apply to BIG-IP load balancers.

If you still want to use it for f5 devices, go to Configuration -> User Interface and change the "List source: IPv4 load balancers" value from "{$typeid_4}" to "{$typeid_4} or {$typeid_8}". Typeid 4 represents Server objects, Typeid 8 represents Network switch objects.

Please search the mailing list archives for background, and post a question to the list for further details.

I would like to add to this, that the DB schema behind the SLB feature is implementation-agnostic, at least it was intended to be. keepalived was the first and so far the only implementation of the config text generator part of it, but adding respective support for F5 would be a natural development of this code. I wonder if it actually works this way.
