Is s switch which was added as a router typo now after a snmp sync has done i am unable to change the object type

get an error

Steps To Reproduceadd a device type as router and now try to add ports and assign them
try to change the device type

This is not a bug. This behaviour is intended, it is caused not by ports, but by one of the attributes currently set for the object. Changing object type should work after clearing the attributes.
