Summary341: Unknown OID '9.1.516' With SNMP Query of a Cisco 3750 Switch
DescriptionI can get snmp info from all of the other Cisco equipment on the network, but when i try to snmp sync with any of the Cisco 3750 switches I get the error Unknown OID '9.1.516'. I tried with both version 0.17.1 and 0.18.0.

Have same issue. Cisco 3750's are becoming very popular, would be good to get this issue resolved.
Had same issue in 1.17.11 so upgraded to 1.18.4 to resolve (but it didn't {:?))

Per the FAQ please also post:
    * exact model/part number of the device (this could be one of "network switch models" records, or could be not)
    * for a device, which features SFP (GBIC, X2 etc) pluggable ports, tell, which of these pluggable ports are "combo" (IOW, alternate socket for a copper port under the same name) and which are standalone ports

Oh btw, ours is a Cisco WS-C3750X-24 (model). Here's some more details: -

cisco WS-C3750X-24 (PowerPC405) processor (revision A0) with 262144K bytes of memory.
Processor board ID FDO1429P0DT
Last reset from power-on
2 Virtual Ethernet interfaces
1 FastEthernet interface
28 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces
2 Ten Gigabit Ethernet interfaces

It refers to it's interfaces as GigabitEthernet1/0/1 => GigabitEthernet1/0/24 for the standard copper interfaces
For the dual-function (copper / fibre) it refers to them as GigabitEthernet1/1/1 => GigabitEthernet1/1/4
For the 10Gb interfaces it refers to them as TenGigabitEthernet1/1/1 and TenGigabitEthernet1/1/2

If you stack another switch on to it then it numbers that switch as switch 2 / 3 / 4 / etc. (up to 8) and as such the number becomes GigabitEthernet2/0/1 => GigabitEthernet2/0/24 etc.

Check out https://sourceforge.net/apps/mantisbt/racktables/view.php?id=412 I have uploaded modified version of snmp.php which supports 3750G-48, you can easily modify it to work it with 24 ports version, just search for your model and change numbers in templates which are listed for your switch (it's in upper part of the same file).

(Just linked two duplicate issues here.) Once again, SNMP for Cisco stacks is implemented in a different way, than for most standalone switches. OID 9.1.516 stands for assorted hardware configurations, and the current SNMP code cannot handle that. This may be reviewed in future, when RackTables has more advanced SNMP logic.

We have the same issue on version 0.20.1. Is this still being investigated?

The sitch is a WS-C3750X-24T.

Had a look at the snmp.php file to see if I could do something with it to support our WS-C3750X-48T-E switches, but couldn't make head nor tails of it.... Is there likely to be additional patches put out for this?
